Sustainability

We believe what happens tomorrow is determined by what we do today.

Here at Sand and Stone

We place sustainability at the heart of our business. For us this means re-imagining the way we excavate materials from our sites, that will foster innovation and step change across our supply chain. Our aim is to have the UK’s very first green aggregates. Pioneering new technology with our key partners to deliver sustainable growth, a healthier environment and a brighter future for local communities, our clients, our stakeholders and our planet. Below detail key areas we have focused on for 2021:

Transport and logistics

Transportation is the number one polluter of our planet and is a key focus in our commitment to tackling climate change. Our solution is to reduce as much inefficient road transport as possible, utilising a cleaner and efficient network of rail and shipping freight. We will continue to focus on providing our customers with lower carbon, resource products and solutions.

Green Fuel

We aim to reduce the use of non-renewable resources by replacing them with substitute Green D+ Fuel. With our new innovative partner, Green Biofuels, supplying environmentally friendly fuel to our plant, machinery and vehicles. Making the switch from normal fossil fuels to Green D+ fuel will contribute to a cleaner environment, reduce our carbon footprint to net neutral and provide a sustainable future. Our drop-in replacement fuel is unmatched in performance and technology.

We look forward to you joining us on our journey to create a green impact and a cleaner future, because the world can’t wait.
